Inside//Out: TweetDeck

Picture 17.pngToday's video takes a look at an application for managing your Twitter-stream more productively, TweetDeck. One of the biggest challenges that I have in using Twitter is keeping up with the sheer volume of messages. I've tried a number of solutions to make sure I don't miss any messages/conversations, but TweetDeck is the best I've tried to date.

Have a look for yourself:

As more and more content is created, it's crucial to identify ways to keep up with it and keep ourselves sane. Google Reader is my other "must have" info management solution.

What applications/services do you employ to manage all of the content?

Thanks Matt! I've been using twhirl which is great, but somewhat linear. I'm going to give TweetDeck a try to get even more out of Twitter.

Wow!

I had heard that tweetdeck was cool but never really got into it. I'm still on WEB. Will check it out tonight.

Thanks for the share,

@bloggeries

I've tried web i/f, Twirl, and Hahlo (mobile for iPhone), but by far, I prefer TweetDeck. It's a great client, and the support by Iain (the creator) is fabulous.

Kris -- I was a Twhirl user too, but I had the same issue. This is a much more robust monitoring tool.

Bloggeries -- Give it a shot and let us know what you think.

Steve -- I have the same opinion of the tools available.

I really liked TweetDeck for a bit. But after a while, as with nearly all Twitter clients, it grew boring (at least to me). Call me ADD, old fashioned, or finicky, but after using any given client for a week or two I get annoyed with the cluttered interface/UI and end up going back to the simpler web.
